When working on a multi-piece line of stationery I start the project by creating an "Inspiration" or "Mood" board. The board is my map for how I initially envision the line to look. It is where I develop color palette, find styles that I'd like to incorporate, type fonts that will be used, and art and photos that get my creativity flowing.
This was for a line that never progressed from it's initial development. It's a line inspired by Marie Antoinette and the Palace at Versailles.
